¡@¡@These are the top 500 high frequency words required for reading fluency in English.Whilst many of these words are decodable, some very common words are quite difficult to decode.If your child already knows many of these words it is a good indicator that they are beginning to read in English.Add decoding and blending skills (phonics), reading strategies and lots of interesting and fun, easy to read books, and your child should soon be reading well.
